To arrive at Relais Val d’Orcia from the Rome-Florence A1 motorway

- Exit at Chiusi Chianciano Terme
- Head towards Chianciano Terme on the SP146
- Take the 3rd exit at the roundabout and stay on the SP146
- After around 6 km, turn left towards Monte Amiata on the SS2 Cassia
- After 20 m, turn right straight away for Monte Amiata on the SS2 Cassia
- After around 2 km, turn left and take Via Galileo Galilei
- After 230 m, turn left and take the SP40, Via Le Piane, for around 8 km
- After passing through La Foce and heading downhill, take the first road on the left for Contignano
- Turn left at the crossroads onto the SP53 and continue for around 5 km
- Turn right onto the unsurfaced road for 400 m
- The distance from the Chiusi junction to Relais Val d’Orcia is around 25 km

To arrive at Relais Val d'Orcia from Siena (via the SR2 Cassia)

- Take the SR2 in the direction of San Quirico d’Orcia for around 40 km
- Go through several villages (e.g. Monteroni d’Arbia and Buonconvento) following the signs to San Quirico d’Orcia/Rome
- Around 4 km after San Quirico d'Orcia, you will come to a crossroads. Turn left onto the SP53 for Contignano, Chianciano Terme, Chiusi
- Follow the SP53 for 17.6 km
- Turn right onto the unsurfaced road for 400 m
- The distance from Siena to Relais Val d’Orcia is around 70 km
